MADTREE BREWING: PROUD TO BE B CORP CERTIFIED
Ohio's MadTree Brewery Joins Elite Ranks as the State's Sole B Corp Certified Brewery, Setting a High Standard for Social and Environmental Impact
We have some great news to share with you. MadTree is officially B Corp Certified! Less than 0.2% of breweries in America are B Corp Certified; now, MadTree is the only one in Ohio.
As of October 30th, 2023, MadTree is proud to announce that the company is officially B Corp Certified and meets the highest social and environmental impact standards. MadTree joins a global movement of Benefit Corporation-certified companies that use business as a force for good, including sustainability powerhouses like Patagonia, AllBirds, Cotopaxi, Toms, and Ben & Jerry’s. Some local superheroes who also meet these standards are Sleepy Bee, Ingage Partners, Tier 1, JBM Packaging, Nehemiah Manufacturing, and Mackey Advisors.
B Corp certification is a lengthy, rigorous process that evaluates five business pillars: governance, environment, community, workers, and customers. MadTree largely scored highest in the community pillar due to their impactful work with nonprofit partners, including the Cincinnati Zoo, Adventure Crew, Cincinnati Parks Foundation, and Groundwork ORV. These organizations are a part of the 1% For the Planet network, in which MadTree is also a member, donating 1% of all sales to support local environmental initiatives.
