One of MolsonCoors’ top priorities for 2025 was to bring Blue Moon back into the spotlight — quite literally. And what better way to do it than with some star power?
Enter Colin Jost, Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update host, who not only stars in the campaigns but also co-writes them, giving the ads a sharp, witty tone that reflects his unique comedic style.
The campaign’s core message? “Nothing Outshines a Blue Moon.” The first ad, “Orange & Son,” features a quirky and surreal run-in between Colin and the beer’s iconic orange garnish, personified as a father-son citrus duo. It's unexpected, humorous, and hard to forget — just like the brand itself.
The second ad, “Zoom In,” leans fully into the idea that not even a celebrity can outshine a pint of Blue Moon. In this scene, Colin is hilariously sidelined as the camera focuses in, not on him, but on the beer.
These ads are hitting major airwaves, set to appear during Wimbledon, the MLB Home Run Derby, and early college football games. It’s all part of Molson Coors’ push to return Blue Moon to its iconic status — and at SBG, we’re proud to support that mission.
