Great Lakes Brewing Co. Leans on Midwest Roots with New Hazy

Great Lakes Brewing Co. is doubling down on its Midwest heritage, expanding its popular Midwest IPA line with a fresh new offering: Midwest Hazy IPA. This strategic move strengthens the brewery’s Ohio ties while further building on the momentum of its flagship Midwest IPA.

After launching in March 2024, Midwest IPA quickly became Great Lakes’ second best-selling year-round brand, making it clear that drinkers in the region love the bold, balanced brew. Now, with the introduction of Midwest Hazy IPA, the brewery is embracing the hazy trend while staying true to its roots.

Coming in at 6.5% ABV, Midwest Hazy IPA delivers a fruit-forward aroma with lower bitterness than its predecessor, the balanced 7.0% ABV Midwest IPA. Notably, Midwest Hazy is replacing Hazecraft IPA in the brewery’s year-round lineup.
